Governor Mitch Daniels has declared August 15-21 as Parents as Partners in Education Week!
How can you be involved in celebrating family engagement during this school year?
Here are few examples of ways to celebrate Parents as Partners in Education Week:
- Host a Back-to-School night in your school or district where you thank parents for being involved
- Host a press conference in your area, celebrating and encouraging family involvement
- Thank individual parents and honor them at your school
- Consider creating a "Family Center" in your school where families can gather for resources, information, and meetings
- Create a "Parent of the Month" bulletin board near the front office to honor at least one parent each month
